Initially painting landscapes in watercolour and looking for a niche for herself, she decided to explore other subject matter and media. She started painting
Still Life and Florals in oils and acrylics as these media better suited her temperament as well as her painting style. Colleen's attention to detail and the ability to paint what she "sees" has given her the confidence to take risks and accept challenges that others might avoid.
Colleen has won awards at both the national and international levels, with her work being published in the Federation of Canadian Artist's magazine, Art Avenues, and the Artwalk 2007 Catalogue.
Her work has been exhibited in Kelowna, Winfield, Vernon, Armstrong, Kamloops, Osoyoos, Penticton, Vancouver, Calgary, and Montreal, and is available for exhbit and sale.
Her work hangs in private and corporate collections here and abroad.
